Growing Something Wild and Unruley!

I love the summer! My garden truley has turned "into something wild and unruley" but along with that comes the comfort of knowing I can provide a home for so many of God's creatures. The hummingbirds are amazing this time of year but now that so many of my summer flowers are in bloom, I love to watch the bumble bees enjoying all of my wild and unruley flowers. Yes I want to touch the earth, I want to break it in my hands and yes I do want to grow something wild and unruley! (I love those lyrics from the Dixie Chicks)

Here is the Moma And Papa House Finches Feeding.

Here are both parents feeding their little ones. The one with the Red Head is the female. They all start out looking like the male on the right side of this photo and then slowly (one feather at a time) the red starts to come in on the females when they get to be a few months old. Right now we have three families of house finches feeding off of our two bird feeders. It is a feeding frenzy!!!

Our Friend Kara With Her New Pup Lilly!

Don't you just love it when you know someone who gets a new puppy? This is Kara and her new Jack Russel "Lilly". She is such a sweet dog. She has already gone on a trail ride with Kara and followed right behind the horse. Kara said that it was a good thing that her horse wasn't a "kicker" because Lilly stayed right on her back hooves. Don't they look like they just belong together? Congratulations Kara and Lilly! Enjoy your new life together!!!

Our Big Blue Heron!

Well Big Blue was by the pond today and of course when we stopped to get a photo, he took off to the air. We did get this photo of him while he was flying away Check out those long legs! No wonder he walks into the pond and plucks out those big bullfrogs! I think now that he has gotten a hold of a big one, he will be back for more. That's one thing about Bluebird Farm....no shortages of bullfrogs!

Here are the baby Goslings all grown up!

Here is the same family of Canadian Geese but now they are all grown up! The mom and dad of the flock still stay with one in front and one in back of the flock to keep them safe. They were eatting all the long grass in my front field the other day.

The Many Birds of Bluebird Lane

Did you know the birds on Bluebird Farm are way beyond spoiled? Yes when those bird feeders get low they actually "click" on the windows with those cute little beaks and are like... "hey...what's up in there? We want or dinner....hey....can you hear us?"

Look At the Size of That Bullfrog!

Check out our neighborhood Blue Heron trying to hang onto this big fat bullfrog. Then he flys away with the bullfrog in his mouth!

Secret Sweet Hearts!

Look at these two rubbing and scratching each other. They had no idea that someone was taking their photo. Usually they act like they don't like each other...now we all know the truth.

What A Cute Tail!

I love Tallulah's tail. When she is happy it is all curley and when she is tired it goes flat!

Super dog Tallulah...man can she jump!
